Plant care:
Incorporate plenty of organic matter at planting along with a granular fertiliser. Apply a liquid feed throughout the growing season. Once stems have flowered they can be cut back to ground level to allow for new growth to appear. In late winter cut back to ground level to maximise the beauty of the foliage of this plant in winter, while allowing new growth to appear in spring.
