A clump-forming herbaceous perennial with dark green, divided foliage and double, deep red flowers which bloom in early Summer.

Plant in deep, fertile soil that is moist but well-drained. Sheltered position in full sun or partial shade. Remove dead flowers and leave the plant to die back in winter. New growth will emerge the following spring. Stems may need support during the flowering season.
